Case Examples

Gerontological Society of America, the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to research, education, and practice in the field of aging, engaged Pear Associates in supporting the launch of the National Center to Reframe Aging, a culture change initiative to shift the way society thinks and talks about aging. Pear Associates' business development support includes establishing marketing and engagement strategy recommendations and developing a summary of opportunities and strategies to expand the visibility and participation in the Reframing Aging Initiative and National Center to Reframe Aging.
New England Dairy, an education organization staffed by registered dieticians and other professionals that serves as the voice of local dairy farmers, engaged Pear Associates to review existing marketing and communication tools to determine the organization's readiness to engage and inform donors. Pear Associates completed a marketing and communications audit that identified strengths, challenges, and opportunities as the organization positions itself as a fundraising engine. This audit process informed the creation of this Development Communication Plan with updated messaging for various audiences.
NH Alliance of Early Childhood Coalitions, which promotes, supports, and builds the capacity of its members, contracted with Pear Associates to conduct a strategic messaging engagement. Working closely with a multi-agency leadership team, revised existing materials, and conducted a members' survey. These activities resulted in creating critical strategic messages for the Alliance to communicate clearly and concisely who it is, whom it serves, and its value in New Hampshire's early childhood landscape.
Project Hope Boston, a multi-service agency that moves families from Boston's Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods up and out of poverty, first engaged Pear Associates in the Summer of 2018 to create a Marketing and Community Outreach Plan. Through this initiative, Project Hope was better able to communicate the organization's value to various audiences, including donors, program participants, and referral partners. Pear Associates helped develop clear and consistent messages about all programs, positioning Project Hope's Executive Director as a thought leader and amplifying the participant voice through the Ambassador's Bureau.
The Concord Coalition to End Homelessness engaged Pear Associates to develop and implement Words Matter, a training focused on asset-based language and effective framing strategies. The Pear Associates team facilitated a discussion with the Board and staff on concrete strategies to advance an asset-based approach to organizational communication, including a sample of revised messaging.
